Let your inner child come out to play. This perhaps should be the tagline of Vivid Sydney, an annual festival of light, music and ideas. Vivid Sydney events are divided into precincts, mainly around the city area and include popular suburbs such as Chatswood, The Rocks, Pyrmont and The Star Casino where the area and their streets come up to life.
We went to Pyrmont and The Star Casino precinct, dubbed as ‘The Game Zone’ where you can play fun and interactive games. Ever want to create your own firework display? No problem. Simply bang on the drum and soon enough you’ll see your own digital fireworks being displayed in front on you on the trees. Called the Pyrmont Pyro, it’s located on the Pyrmont Bay park just opposite of the Star Casino entrance.
Perhaps the most fun game is to take control of the lightshow display of The Star Casino itself. Still located at the Pyrmont Bay park, head your way down from the drumming area to the Mission Control box where you’ll probably see quite a huge line comparatively to any other games. And this also depends when and what time you’re heading down there. We went on a Friday night after work around 7pm and the queue was 15 minutes long. Ain’t too bad.
